On February 18, 2016, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Raynor Marketing jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese made Eurotech Lume brand office chairs.
The English name of the product being recalled this time is Eurotech Lume office chairs. The product is a black, mesh structure backrest, adjustable seat with 5-wheel office chair. The label on the bottom of the seat bears the product number MF2500 and the production date in YY/MM/DD format. The production dates of the recalled products are from 14/10/08 to 15/10/16. This product was sold from January to November 2015 by the Davies Office store in New York, the Office Furniture Depot store in New Jersey, and other independent distributors, with a price of approximately $300 per unit.
This recall involves approximately 1200 products, and the reason for the recall is that the seat part of this office chair may detach during use, posing a risk of injury to the user. As of now, Raynor has not received any relevant accident reports.
For this reason, the US Consumer Products Commission recommends consumers to contact Raynor Marketing Limited for a full refund.
